This is not a professional conversation as:
1. Not proper greeting.
2. For English basis uni..shouldn't mix the languages uses.
3. Not so well manner as the caller is much younger than the receiver and yet... that receiver is a lecturer to the caller..should show some respect man! [Eang Nan's (hampir bukan nama sebenar)pronouncation]

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!

New sem just started a week and 3 days ago... these 10 days..chriclk!

Beforehand, no post at all along the cuti sem..coz internet at home not that favourable. Whatever, past is past.

Brief fact about this 2010, particularly the first sem;

1. 6 subjects making 18 credits hours -actually wanted to make it 7 but just dropped a subject tadi.

2. all got projectssss..

3. on the 1st week itself and in the 1st class we had assigned an assignment. TQ so much sir.

4. The core subject esp, RMS=Reservoir Modelling and Stimulation...aaaaaa really a killer one. tambah2 lgi hang, pening, almost vomit the derivation of equations in WTA=Well Test Analysis.

5.Having ETP=Engineering Team Project wif my colleagues; Bell, Zul, Sami, Faheem and Rezza.. They are good teammates so far but along the sem i had to overwhelm by logbooks, reports, seminars, meeting among us, consultation with SV = Dr. Yunus Nayan etc. etc.. aaaaaaa

6. Hunting for internship placement. Huk3... I got the referee, one out of two la...looking for some1 from my department, got my target edy, but not seeing him yet. Referee da ada, tapi resume, 1 zarah tinta pun x dibazir to work on it..ayoyo... and i know we all have to compete for the placement..

7. oh dear, really thankful to God, my sis and my parent for the new lappy and not to forget some1 that help me choosing it :D.

8. i want to enjoy more and more... scream the loudest, love to the deepest and comel to the comelest :D

Done la kot...it's late already. wanna meet my bed but it's freaking hot here!!!!! aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Math n me in my degree years

Hi blog...

Long time no posting here..hehe... pretty busy or i just so lazy to update :D

So here i am today..updating it,in this cloudy weather plus my roomate just pull out our curtain so that we (me joining soon) will have this peaceful fake nite.. apalagi recharge our mata la..hehe.

Topik hari ini ialah Maths and Me (M&M). Peace!

Tadi, beta telah mencemar duli hingga membawa diri ke Chancellor Hall untuk menduduki satu kertas peperiksaan besar hujung semester beta. Dan subjek tadi merupakan the last Engineering Math yang pelu beta ambk before ley bertopikan topi segi4..but doesn't mean took all can graduate edy ah...banyaaaaaaaaak lagi subjek len kot.

Along the years (almost 3 years edy), i did took 6 math subject (which mean every sem got math!! OMG, i just realized it) and only one bjya got A (oke, beta x malu mngaku here) ngeh3. Make it short;

Pre-Calculus : I dun really know wat hepen coz i just entered foundation year and really2 anjakan paradigma to learn such a "super duper" weird math that more to alphabetical and symbols compare to numerical. (adik2 yg still skola pakai bju biru muda tu yang plan nk ambk engineering... plisss...akak nasihat ni, blaja tol2 math..siyes math zaman skola tu hanya 1/1000 senangnya compare to math zaman u ni). Tp syukur sgt2 i manage to score this subject SEBAB : zaman foundation ada lagi sisa2 zarah nilai Kerajinan dari zaman skola [op coz kena rajin, my mum's husband yg jadi guard time stdi :) jadi a bit terbesa]. But then and now... tah Taufan Katrina ke Lubis ke kobis mana yang flew them away..away..away~ from me.. maka terjadilah zaman gelap a.k.a jahilliah untuk sbject maths seterusnya

Calculus : Zaman kejatuhan Kerajinan beta. Foundation 2nd sem. That semester i was quite free and enjoying the freedom dengan bahagianya...maka "bahaduka" (bahagia yang tak menjadi dan convert trus kpada duka, harap maklum) jgak la apabila mendapat result di Januari tahun seterusnya..watever... Praise to God, qualified to enter undergrad.

Diffential Equations : For this subject i still meeting the same lecturer the previous sem, Mrs. Azizan Zainal Abidin. She know me very well la... penyembah meja terhebat time lecture.. (oke, now sounds really budak jahat). Zaman ini ada naik sedikit..might be due to the level of hardness (sila jangan guna Mohs Scale Hardness or watsoever..coz this is not material properties but human abilities type). In the end.. overall attendent still >90%

Vector Calculus : Deh! I dunno this is the worst math ever. X paham apa2 pon. Not blaming the lecturer k [anyway, this subjcet lecturer, Dr. Asif passed away during final exam last sem~ dikau tetap dalam ingatan pensyarahku]. Zaman ini siyes...segala syeton2 dan iblis2 bermaharaja lela esp dlm kelas, virus "kuapan" (menguap), sampai menangis x bersebab, dan kadang2 tu membuat tarian hip hop angguk2 sahaja tanpa irama dan lagu. NEVER attend tutorial. (Dgn hepinya NEVER). Dengan attendent yang bole kena BAR..tpi x obvious because i asked some of my friends to sign for me..oke.. i admit that i commit to such sin and crime as a student. Datang kelas pun wat wayang mimpi.. hish3.

Probability and statistic : Not much to say. Dr. Afza as the lecturer. The hardest/ or same level as VC-for me la, math ever. Busy with events, can't really pay attention in class. Awal sem to almost the end..kedatangan memberahikan, eh eh..opss.. memberansangkan but at the end.. oxygen kat dewan kuliah tu pun beta x sedut lagi. Final ni last sem (2nd Year 1st sem), meremukkan hati beta. Beta sungguh berdukacita..sob..sob... coz this paper "memburger" (=double paper in a day) dengan Reservoir Rock and Fluids Properties. Tambah2...only we PE student yang 1st sem ambik while the others candidate are senior. Dlm kelas pulak... more or less like the previous sem. adessss! Budak x sedar dek untung!

Computational Methods : Lecture beta : Dr. Vijanth, always quotes this during lecture.." Hai..CM is the easiest math..sure you can do"

Inilah muka depan paper tadi.

Tapi, biarlah beta meluahkan segala yang terbuku dalam kantung hati kaler merah disalut darah dan sel saluran limfa dalam dada beta. Siyesly beta SETADI untuk subject ni. Beta betol2 nak improve maths achievement beta. Antara fakta tak tipu beta untuk menghadapi paper ini ialah;

Ulangkaji - Beta siap ulangkaji sehari sebelum paper ni oke. Xpernah2 dilakukan beta sebelum ini.
Dalam kelas - rekod tidur beta dalam kelas menghampiri 0.5 % of error (apaka...). betol! beta dapat catch up balik eben tdo. dan buku note untuk sbject ni habis 2 mggu sebelum kelas habis! Rekod! selama ni nak smpai 1/2 buku pun susah.
Latihan : Paling banyak la buat latihan berbanding 5 subjects math yg lain. Tapi mgkn x mengalahkan latihan yg Ipien, Zaki, Arip dan rumet sendiri buat kot.
Discussion : Ini juga rekod. X pernah beta jadi reliable person utk dirujuk o diajak berbincang o berkuiz or membandingkan jawapan selama beta masuk UTP ini. Even my rumet pun surprise (oke, now you can can imagine wat type of person am I). Even i can fight with her about the answers.
Tidur - aspek ini jangan dipandang remeh ya even saizku remeh jgak..hehe. Before this, kalu esk ada paper, dlm jam 3,4,5am bru ley melelapkan mata. tapi...disebabkan siap awl dan rasa da prepared, beta tido paling lambat jam 2am. Cukup. sebab pagi bgn lmbt sikit. Kalu selama ni beta tido 2jam je... Budaya x sihat betol.
Makanan - ini pun penting! x pernah2 beta melengkapkan 6 meals. tapi demi CM, i had my breakfast, morning break, lunch, evening tea, dinner and supper even!! Sehari habis >MYR15 demi makanan. sebab some tu like porridge i cooked on my own...hebat x??And i rally2 love you mum and dad! They added some amount of rinngit into my account for me to face this peperangan. Hehe...beta x mntak oke.
Senjata - Normally i went to exam with only 2 pens, ruler, eraser, calculator. pen pun pen lama. Tapi this time around ada semangat UPSR, PMR dan SPM sedikit. I bought 4 new pens, 1 mechanical pencil, 1 new eraser. So tadi i carried 3 pens, 2 mechanical pencil, 1 ruler, 1 eraser and 2 calculator (credit to Ronny, borrowed from him since i cannot afford to buy the new one-mcm x berbaloi plus it's newer Casio series which i need a month at least to understand how to use it, sedangkan beberapa jam lagi nak berdepan dgn kertas tu) !!! Juga...juga...juga.. the most.. DOA! Duduk saja kerusi, sedut 1 2 ketul oxygen then terus say a little of prayer. Wajib!

Then come to the exam period;

Diserang sakit perut tiba2. Tahan saja k. - my bad, i didn't ask for medicine from Dr. God. Pliss3..whoever read this jgn buat mcm beta k?
Pundi kencing yang kecil dan cepat dipenuhi urine memaksa beta berlari2 amal ke tandas di tgkat bawah. X suka! Coz 5-7 minutes wasted just for that. I tried to make it as fast as possible.
I hate solan no 3. Coz i spent 40+minutes to find the solution.
Solan semua berbelit2. and dibelit untuk early step.. and you will know it if you took this subject coz once you stuck at the early stage then you cannot move forward. CM is really dependent on each other. Salah depan... jangan harap dpt betul dibelakang.

Mmg for me honestly, CM is the easiest math, somehow tadi.. i still CANNOT PERFORM and TAK SIAP! :D

The key difference between the Photoelectric effect and the Thompson effect are that the Photoelectric effect is based on kinetic energy of photons and the Compton effect is based on light scattering and momentum.
The difference between the Photoelectric Effect and Compton Effect are the nature of the interaction of light with electrons. In the photoelectric effect kinetic energy is the main player due to the fact that a photon is a particle and a wave. The kinetic energy of a photon ejects an electron. In the Compton Effect, the important aspect is that it is a light scattering effect and depends on the angle of the photon and the momentum.
The Photoelectric effect deals with ejecting electrons from metals exposed to UV. There is an energy threshold you have to reach before electrons are ejected. The Photoelectric effect has to do with kinetic energy and the wave-particle duality. The photon is like a big truck hitting a little car on the highway. If the truck has enough kinetic energy it will put the car in the ditch. But it has to be high enough energy.
Light scattering is a more difficult concept to understand. The Compton Effect is the decrease in energy when x-rays are scattered off of electrons. Before Compton came along everyone thought light hitting and electron should result in scattered light of many wavelengths (classical physics not quantum). Since we know that E=hc/l, when the photon hits its energy decreases and wavelength increases. So if you start off with an x-ray you might end up with a UV photon after the energy gets taken by the electron. Because the Compton Effect deals with scattering, the angle is very important. Momentum is important as well. Instead of ejecting an electron, the Compton effect acts to increase the momentum. It gives the electron a little push so that it can go faster. It would be like getting hit by a truck but not going off the road and it would depend on which angle you were hit.

the least final papers only THREE!!!
but got this WELL LOG the toughest ever.
This time around NO STUDY WEEK
and UTP has changed the style of final..no more choice ANSWER ALL babe!
the other papers are fully on coursework mark. huhu

Like others, i want to apologize for any wrongdoings I've done along the year especially along this 5 months.
Some i didn't mean to and some maybe i did kot..neways, human make mistakes and things happen k?
Sama2 la berusaha keras. (even semalam honestly, i did gave up...aaaaaaaaa. Lupakan, coz today is another new day. Jangan sibuk merepair apa yang da lepas)
Trust God more and more! Pray harder k? Study smarter.
